Lifecycle

SearchResultsState::status is the sole lifecycle authority. It distinguishes idle, loading, partial, ready, empty, error, stale, and cancelled searches. Hosts must tag asynchronous completions with the generation returned by begin_search; stale completions are rejected, and completions arriving after cancel cannot restore results.

Ownership boundary

TermRock owns reusable terminal rendering and interaction state. The host owns domain data, policy, persistence, authorization, and side effects.

Evidence status

4 covered, 9 partial, and 3 missing contract axes. Missing evidence is not a behavior claim.
