Advanced guidance

Authored implementation guidance

Purpose. Path entry for installers, connection setup, and FilePicker shells. TermRock owns typing, history, completion/browse signals, and pure path helpers. Hosts own all filesystem I/O and sandbox policy.

Ownership

Existence, type, destructive riskHost projection

Destructive targets

Host sets PathRisk::Destructive for overwrites or sensitive system paths. PathInput paints danger chrome and optional “destructive target” caption.

Pure helpers

normalize_separators, is_absolute_path, join_path, expand_tilde, expand_env_vars, completion_prefix — no process env or disk access.

Ownership boundary

TermRock owns reusable terminal rendering and interaction state. The host owns domain data, policy, persistence, authorization, and side effects.

Evidence status

3 covered, 8 partial, and 5 missing contract axes. Missing evidence is not a behavior claim.
